Engelman Spruce grows in high latitude and cold environment. What Soldin uses is oversea import. Engelman Spruce grows in mountain area in west America. Light, soft, straight wood grain, light yellow, and not easy to be darken. It features as light, keen, and mature sound. Also, medium frequency is more abundant than common Sitka Spruce. It takes time to warm up, but the sound of guitar will perform better after playing longer and longer. Engelman Spruce generally uses in intermediate and high level top of guitar.

Meranti belongs to Shorea, is how we call in Indonesia, another well-known name is Lauan. These woods are sometimes called Philippine Mahogany as well. Meranti has hard wood texture and clear sound, which is used as substitute of Mahogany. Most of Meranti are used to make Top, Back, and Side of introductory guitar. F310 of Yamaha and F600 both use this material as Back and Side .​​
